Don Brown rifle engraving

I recently picked up a Don Brown rifle - this one is a .45 bullet rifle. I'm very fortunate to have a flintlock rifle of his and two of his sporting rifles in .58 that he built and 16 bore that was built from a kit.  The auction had a low buy now price and I pulled the trigger quickly.  No mention of a cap box, grip cap with a trap or the engraving.  I was pleasantly surprised when I unwrapped the rifle.   Did Don do the engraving himself or did someone else provide it for him?  Thanks

to my knowledge Don did not do any engraving.

I only know him from being a customer and talking to him on the phone over the years.

I only looked at the engraving today and there is a good chance it was a local
man that lived about 5 miles from me in Kenova West Virginia.His name was Norris
Sperry and sadly,he is now deceased for several years.He did work for Colt on
their re-issued Civil War and pre Civil War revolvers when he was barely out of
high school.He was one of a small group of engravers that Colt commissioned
for this project. I made a lock for him like this gun has and he did a fantastic
job on it and showed it to me.Is that one of my locks on this gun? It will have
"Roller USA" inside the plate with the "Roller" in a semi circle.
