This is a loose copy of RCA 52. It has a Colerain .54 cal barrel and a Davis lock. Home made trigger and plate, nose cap, sideplate, front sight and ramrod ferrules. Its stained with ferric nitrate and Transtint honey amber. I used Tried and true varnish but did it in the wet spring we had and it took forever to dry.

Good looking rifle! I like it. Good stout early gun. I know the buttplate angle is patterned after the original. How does it snug?

Rich, It shoots real well but there is snuggling involved. Ive always loved the look of the rifle so a little snuggling is OK.
