Pour spout lids for Swiss powder containers (plastic)?
« on: August 26, 2019, 05:49:29 AM »
Does anyone know where to find pour spout lids for plastic Swiss powder containers?

I have some plastic lids that fit Goex but the mouth on the Swiss containers is smaller.

Over 30 years ago, I cut the head off a .30-30 hull, drilled a hole in a Goex lid and used JB weld to hold it in place.  A .41 mag case fits nicely with just a little friction.
Nothing is hard if you have the right equipment and know how to use it.  OR have friends who have both.

I use this one. Original Goex spout.

Thanks! I just ordered a couple along with some other stuff. I'm sure someone has done research that says if you make your shipping cost high, people buy more at one time to make the shipping cost less of the total... lol

Yeah, I always bought them when I had a big order. I never noticed the shipping charge. It didn't seem like much.

In an empty powder container.

There are so many discussions here about "secret formula" lubes, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a Crest Fluoride lube. Non petroleum and it "seasons" the barrel against cavities.

Might be able to provide some color to your gray smoke with that last idea!  That line chalk comes in all sorts of colors!

Just make your own using ctg. cases. Solder for steel lids, CA for plastic.
