The (Old) @$#% Shoot

Harnic sent me this picture that he shot at Heffley last summer.  This was our team for the Fort Shoot - fifteen minutes of pandemonium!  And what fun!!
They are left to right, Daryl, Max (Dancing Bear ) Tetackuck )Cody's dad), Gary mummery, me, and Steve Chatt.

Our gun's smoke still fills the bush behind us - The General and his host, down and dead. Pandemonium is correct!  There is nothing like a Fort Shoot to get the adrenalin up.

Several years ago we put on some 3 day survival/skills matches. Included was a fort shoot. The "fort" was built from old telephone poles and had three or four shooting ports at various heights.  Three man teams had so many minutes to shoot the attacking Indians.  The Indians were made of plywood, attached to trees with hinges and pulled into and out of view every 5 seconds by monofilament fishing line.  The team with the most hits on the Indian targets was the winner for that event.  Real pandemonium for the shooters and a lot of laughs for the four guys puling the strings.

No, that's how they make tea. After a long hot, sweltering day, they take them off and wring them out into a cup, add a slice of lemon and you have a cup of tea. That's why they're called "tea towels". It's also why I drink coffee.

You're welcome Taylor, Ben & I have many shots of that event including some video of Dancing Bear shooting his ramrod at a target! ;) (that's why he's not looking too happy in this shot)  I'm not sure who had more fun... you guys shooting or us filming!  What a hoot!  That is a great game!!!

Handier in the fort - even the longest gun there, the Edward Marshal has but a 38" barrel, I assume. Next would be the 34 or 36"" 20 smoothie I'm shooting, then tossup between the Hawkens, then Taylor's Jaeger.
I missed only one target shot at last year, with the smoothbore. It shot well.

This year, I'm going to use the Musketoon.
