Jacob Dickert Rifle Display

The Kentucky Rifle Foundation will be presenting a display of "Jacob Dickert" rifles at this years Eastern Pa. Longrifle show Sept. 13th. & 14th.
There are six plus early rifles committed to the display with more expected to show up. RCA#49 was coming but owner had to cancel but RCA#66 and two similar to RCA#68.
Believe this to be the largest coming together of "Dickert" rifles to date. If you're coming to the show and own a "Dickert" rifle please bring it.
To understand the importance of Jacob Dickert and the relevance his creation had on America in it's early days, read Scott Gordons 2013 article. As Scott stated, in much of the frontier a longrifle was referred to as a "Dickert".
I encourage all to come out and enjoy the interaction/conversation and wonderful antique arms.

might also have been a gunsmith or parts maker in the longrifle world.

Yes Mac is fortunate but he has put in over 10 years of hard work running the Eastern PA Longrifle show, http://americanlongrifles.org/forum/index.php?topic=54812.0 lots of work to keep a show like this running.
Unfortunately I have only been able to attend but one of these shows.  I saw some great original rifles there. Well worth your time to attend if you are able.

Well, Mac is to be commended, as I'm quite sure he has been, by his fellow collectors for that tremendous effort and 10 year record of success.

I used to get involved in the New England Antique Arms Society's shows to a very small extent. It can be almost a year around job for the organizers.

    I was able to attend the show today and it was really something to see. The Dickert display was amazing! There were also two Andreas Albrecht rifles there along with many others. If you have the chance to get there on Saturday to see this, I highly recommend going. There aren't many opportunities to examine so many fine rifles like this show provides.

Which rifles are these? How many Albrecht rifles are there? One, the lion and lamb rifle (attributed to Albrecht), is at an auction house in Lancaster County at present. Another possible Albrecht, the twin to the Edward Marshall rifle, is at the Moravian Historical Society in Nazareth, PA, and the Marshall rifle itself is at the Mercer Museum in Doylestown, PA.

Which two Albrechts were at this other show?

If you build or love longrifles you need to attend this show, as you can handle many
rifles that are pictured in the books.

The auction house had a display at the show. The lion and the Lamb was there and also the Albrecht with the two tailed dog was there.
