So I was wondering yesterday
« on: October 02, 2019, 03:47:59 PM »
I was engraving yesterday and  with my mind wandering the way it does I wondered if with all the engraving I have done over the years if I have engraved a line a mile long yet? More maybe? How about with the parting tool laying in carving?  Mile? Less? How about wire?  I know I have put well over 20 ft of wire in one gun on several occasions.

Say, any of you boys smithies? Or, if not smithies per se, were you otherwise trained in the metallurgic arts before straitened circumstances forced you into a life of aimless wanderin'?

See, told ya 39 years ago to charge by the inch for the engraving - then  you would know for sure!

I think I was working in the central Florida woods 39 years ago, and didn't have a computer or a cell phone....

Hi,
Well Mike, I probably deposited at least a pint of blood on all my guns over the years.  I just deposited some today.

Yes, nasty wounds seem to go right along with extremely sharp hand tools.
