Black Tipped Horn
« on: November 12, 2019, 05:59:07 AM »
Just finished up this natural black-tipped horn tonight, minus the staple and stopper.  No dying the tip is necessary when you have one of these.  But they are getting pretty hard to get in larger sized horns like this, (about 16” long and 3 1/4” base).  Base is a piece of old growth poplar from a 150 yr old smokehouse that was being torn down, that my uncle scavenged for me.

Not the best pictures, but it was drying on a rag and I couldn’t move it to a better spot.  😄

That's a very fine horn!  Super neat that the black is natural.

The contrast makes that a fine looking horn.

That's a great horn. Both the way it turned out and the actual horn itself.
