William Shener
« on: November 13, 2019, 06:17:01 AM »
I'd be most appreciative if anyone could provide me with any information re William Shener.  To date, all I have been able to find is that: 1. Sellers identifies him as working in Reading between 1773 and 1805; 2. Kauffman apparently references him as a maker of flintlock Kentucky pistols; and 3. photos of a rifle and pistol attributed to him appear at pp. 48 and 49 of Hornberger's Berks County Longrifles & Gunmakers 1750-1900. Thank you.  ribs

I'm not aware of any rifle that is actually signed.  Kind of like the 'Haga' guns.  Lots of attribution, little concrete.
