Finished Tomahawk
« on: November 14, 2019, 08:36:25 PM »
Just finished this hawk a few days ago and put it in the mail to one of our members here. If all goes well he should have it in his hands by tomorrow. ;D

Here are a few pictures, hope you like it.

Sure is and NOT a hawk to see rough service.  It belongs behind glass.

Is the head forged or cast?

Bart I would like to say my forging skills were good enough to make the head but that is not the case. The head is a casting that I got from TOW.

Downright stunning.  So if this is "plain" as asked for by Ron, what is FANCY?    :-)   God Bless,   Marc

Well Ron got a little extra because of his generous help in supporting the Alabama Kentucky rifle show. Just trying to return the favor a little in appreciation for his help.

OH!!! Please, someone start a photo gallery here of candidates for a Tomahawk Hall of Fame. I personally enjoy looking at a fine tomahawk even more than a fine rifle.

It's sort of been done already. Tomahawk High School in Wisconsin has the Hatchet Athletic Hall of Fame. As I said, "sort of been done".

That's a beautiful Hawk. The wood and the engraving compliment one another so well.

Jim, it did NOT arrive in the mail!  Could you please make another and send it to the correct address this time?
Really nice work.  I may have to take a few days and spend some time there in Warrior, AL, learning some of your techniques.

Thanks Craig, man you are welcomed in the shop anytime. I have enjoyed making the hawks that I have made over the last few years. They are fun projects and don’t take nearly as long to build as a rifle.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words.
