I recently completed these two shot pouches. Comments, suggestions and constructive criticism is welcomed and appreciated.

Eric, I really like the top one, but both look great. What is it you did to the flap treatments on both bags that makes them look 'fuller' for lack of any other description? Is there lining under the flaps? And the 'stamp' is classy too? Great job Eric. Will you also be going to Dixon's next week?

I don't know about Eric, but I always stuff my bags full of crumpled up newspapers when I take pictures of them or when I have them on display.

Randy, now thats a great idea I haven't thought of stuffing the bags with something. Probably why sales a tad light, LOL.

I will be at Dixon's on Friday and Sunday. There is no lining in the bags. I do put some crumpled up newspaper in my bags. I actually put some paper in as soon as I am done dyeing the bag. When the bag dries it helps give it some shape, even without paper.

I use plastic bags to fill my pouches with. Don't know anything else to do with them.

Eric, great looking new bags, just like the previous ones. Are these flaps lined?
Keep up the great work. Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you at Dixons. Must have been trying hard to take in everything all at once. I hear it's a common malady of first timers, sigh.

I have not got into lining any of my bags yet. I just hem all my edges for a more finished look. Sorry, I missed you at Dixon's too. I saw your bags and horns on the HCH table. They looked great. There is a lot of excellent stuff to see and many friends to talk to at Dixon's.

Eric I'll also assume that all these share a 'one piece' bag back and flap too? I just made my own pattern and am getting ready now to play with a flap style. Actually I've started several styles (basic bag shapes) along with different flap styles as well. It gives me something to do while I wait for a leather order to arrive. I do like the the one pocket bag for a typical hunting bag. Not much room needed for a day hunt and can't get simpler than that.
And I appreciate your comments for the displays. Thanks.

The back and flap are all one piece. I have an internal pocket stitched to the back and 1 1/4 stiffener/reinforcement piece across the top inside. The straps are stitched to this piece, so I am actually going through two pieces of leather with the strap.

Here are some more photos.

I did the same thing with patterns. I have 4 basic shapes with two flap styles each. I am also trying to look at more original bags to "copy" the construction techniques. I hope to make some more traditional looking bags.

I bought T.C. Albert's book last year at the CLA Show. I made the first bag a few weeks later. Time flies when you are having fun.
