This is my second attempt.  I wasn’t that precise on the first and it caught up with me when I had to cut the slots.  Hopefully this one will go better.

Brass is much easier than steel to make hinge tubes out of. At least that's my opinion. Form the radius of your patch box pieces to match the stock before you cut the slots for the knuckles. That way the hinge won't bind up on you later.

Thanks Dave. You have a good one too.  The wife and I always seem to be on a diet when the holidays hit. I think she plans it that way.   ;D. I made two attempts on the double patch box and wasn’t satisfied.  I tried my luck at the hinged toe plate patchbox and it worked out well. There’s a lot to getting them to work out right:o

I nneeded to and will as soon as I can find the time to get away.  It sure would have helped. Most of my building is on the weekends after everyone goes to bed.  That double patchbox is tough to keep everything lined up.  That and after filing the hinges to fit, I now have blisters on odd parts of my hands and fingers.  I guess if I keep trying,  they will eventually callus  :o
