Kentucky swivel breech
« on: November 30, 2019, 12:32:48 AM »
Hi folks

Got a swivel breech Kentucky.....Like new but the breech is loose, not tight when in position. A Dave waters swivel.
Anybody got any ideas as to why it's loose?
Seems like a release lever problem .

If this is like a David Price action, there is a threaded rod with a locknut that tightens it up. Just remove the plate that has the release lever. You can see if there is a locknut and threaded rod. You may have to replace the locknut. After they have been removed a few times, the locking feature no longer works as well. I'm currently working on a Price action and have had to replace the locknut.

You can try this addy: l.d.waters68@att.net not sure it is the right Dave Waters.

Or you might try contacting this guy, it is an older post:

I got Dave Waters book and it said, got a question?, call.........
So I did.
Loose nut so Dave took it apart, corrected a few things, greased her up and it functions quite well.
Dave Waters, he's  a good decent human being for real.
Thanks  to all
