Engraving Tool

Hi,
I have sharped my engraving point by hand.
Kingsburyarms gave me an engraver as example, it looks like a diamond!
I saw a tool on the internet.
I made one, smaller and I hope it works better as by hand.

Adrie,
Given your craftsmanship, I think your sharpening fixture will work much better than the one in the first picture. I'm looking forward to seeing your engraving.

Show up fine on my computer. Very nice work Adrie. I hope you'll take a look at my thread on John Schipper's book, "Engraving Historic Firearms". Engraving will add another chapter of satisfaction to your already good work.

Now I can see them. I have the chrome plated one. I like your homemade one too, you are very crafty!

Adrie,
That tool looks great. I think I will make one myself.

Here a drawing of the parts.
You have to find the measures you need, because I work with mm.
