Weather at Dixon's

Anyone know what kind of weather we're going to have this year at Dixon's?

Cool, 80s and 60s at night.. 50/50 rain  Boy that is different than past years!!  The lows ahould help the humidity be a little better..... but hit all those locks with Ballistol just in case Jim.   ::) ::)  Looks about average for the area

I'm only an hour north of Dixon's the weather report for friday, saturday and sunday is as follows.

Friday partly sunny, warm and humid with a chance of a shower high 83.
Saturday, partly sunny, hot and humid with scattered showers, high of 85.
Sunday, mostly cloundy with scattered showers, high of 82.

Been a strange summer here in PA this will be about the first shot of summer weather we've had.

Try www.wnep.com about 40 miles north of Dixons. The rain is coming from the south.

Rain? at the Fair?

I have never been to a Fair without at least one good earsplitting sock soaking downpour.

if everyone puts an umbrella in their car, it will keep the rain away.

My guess is that it will rain sometime around noon on Sunday.  Thunder, lightning and buckets of rain.   :D

I have to tell this story, wish I had a camera with me to capture the moment.

The last time I was at Dixon's, I think it was year before last, I was talking with Freddie Harrison and Fred Miller, they were set-up side beside. Well the normal Friday afternoon Dixon's thunderstorm came up and buckets of water came down. I got refuge under Fred's canopy. Well so much water fell that it began to collect on top of Fred's canopy and threatened to take it down. I looked over a few minutes later and there stood Fred with one of Freddie's $600 curly maple stock blank pushing up on the canopy so the water would drain out! The price was marked in the side of the blank, sure wish I had a photo.

Yep! That would have been a Kodac moment, one to spread around for decades. Freddie sure has some very nice wood!!!

Oh great!  We'll be tent camping over at Red Hill campground.  Well, it'll be a test of the "waterproof" tent... :D

My seminar is always scheduled for eleven  o'clock on Sunday.  I have never been able to tell if the audience was really interested in what I had to say, or if they just came in to get out of the rain.  Sort of like a captive audience.  Maybe it will be different  this year...........or maybe not!!!!

Hope to see all of you there.  This year my table will be next to Keith Casteel.
