The barrel is by Charlie Burton & 15 inches long at .40 cal. . The mounts I made by cutting up my Late Mother's silver sugar bowl. She would have roasted my hide for that if she was alive. The lock is from Blackley in England. His locks come as castings & requires plenty of elbow grease. I remade the springs as the sear spring was a big blob & the frizzen spring was way to thin. If anyone ever has done one of his locks you have problems figuring out how to lay everything out correctly in order to have it to function right. The smaller the lock the error can't be much. I have around 115 hours in this project.
I built this for my grandson. Just maybe he shall hang onto it knowing that it has the silver mounts made from his great-grandmother's sugar bowl.
