Does the 1803 Rifle look off to anyone? I wonder if it has been restocked.

The condition code description indicates that that is a possibility.

OF - FAIR- some major parts replaced; minor replacement parts may be required; metal rusted, may be lightly pitted all over, vigorously cleaned; rounded edges of metal and wood; principal lettering, numerals and design on metal partly obliterated; wood scratched, bruised, cracked or repaired where broken; in fair working order or can be easily repaired and placed in working order.

The side plate is completely the wrong style. Restocked at a minimum.

Buy Jim Whisker's book The Southern Arsenal before even considering buying a Harpers Ferry firearm.

Restock, no cheek rest either

I thought it was a restock. The lines are all wrong. RIA doesn't do much in the way of descriptions. Caveat emptor.
