lock tuning at Dixon's
« on: July 23, 2009, 02:17:44 AM »
Beating a dead horse again.....L&R Manton lock, does anyone know if there will be someone at Dixon's this weekend that can make one of these work.  My three old ones work like a champ, the "new and improved" one doesn't. It's been back twice and they claim it's OK.  I guess it is if you don't mind boom, boom ,click, click, boom, replace flint and repeat.  Grrrr*&%$*&*

I think I know whats wrong with it but I don't know how to go about fixing it.

I can bring a new one and an old one with me if anyone wants to see the difference.

Thanks,
Bill

Hi Bill "I feel your pain"  as Slick willy said!  I've seen the guts of my Durs Egg so often,
I know it by heart.  I could take that sucker apart and put her back together blind folded.  I could I swear I could.  That lock has one sloppy guts for sure.!  Course she made fire thousands of times... :D

Bill,
Bring it with you to Chuck's! Enough of us will be there to help you out.
You will most likely find me up with Acer....of course he will be in his "Dixon's Trance"  but I'll have a look see.

Thanks Jim,  I know where Tom's penthouse suite is. I have some stuff for him so I'll be making the climb.
