Jim, Tim & Metalshaper,Thanks for the input. I guess Wade comes out on top this time. For a couple of trigger guards it's just not worth the time to rebuild that saw to slow it down.I just hope that I can use the metal cutting blade that I ordered to cut wood.
combination of pulleys and a jack shaft.. you should be able to drop a 1750 rpm motor to 48-50 rpms at the saws wheels 'fairly" easily??and if your saw is 14" at the wheels... and I mathed right?? your blade would be going about 132 ft/min Jonathan
