I am in a toss-up between Cherry or Walnut stock on the Kibler Colonial .54, instead on the maple.
If you have done either cherry or walnut and would like to share your photo,Please do.
Thank You

Walnut or cherry are both nice.  We're pretty picky with either species when buying lumber.  Both can be on the soft and light side if you're not careful with selecting.

Thanks,
Jim

One thing neat about the walnut is no staining required. This was my mountain rifle last June right after finishing.  The finish is not so bright now.  I'm proud to say that it has around 300 round fired through it and it has served me well.  If I yank the trigger when the sights are aligned it will hit the mark.  I achieved first place in the Marksman class in the offhand flint hunting rifle category at Friendship with this gun with a score of 167 in the fall.
