Barrel ID

I have a barrel that does not have any mark other than the number 50 (cal) on the end, & the number 99 (or 66, depending on how you look at it). Does this number have anything to do with an ID for the barrel maker? Thanks, For any input, Jim.

Douglas barrel??

Most likely. Bet it looks drawn not milled. Octagon corners not sharp.

As Mr. Pierce said, Douglas Barrel.  They were drawn and not milled on the surface.  That's why they often times had some runout at one end.  James Levy
