A few belt bags
« on: January 27, 2020, 03:41:33 PM »
Our Lancaster Muzzleloading Rifle Association gun show is coming up this weekend so I whipped up a few belt pouches to lay on the table with a few other bags.  Never did the belt pouches before but they are fun and a little more relaxing to stitch up.  Tried three different stain approaches.  I also like my look to be a little used.

Those are some dandy bags. I like the colors, and the leather button is a nice touch. Nice work!

A "proper" belt bag like any of these are perfect for a short day hunt or trail walk. It is what they carried before shoulder strapped bags.

Thanks for the comments.   I tried making the leather buttons for something different and just took a gouge and carved the scallop look into them.  I'll be surprised if one sells since it's more of a modern gun show than strictly blackpowder related stuff even though some of us sell only those type of items.

I always kept a belt pouch when hunting modern. Kept a couple back up rounds and small survival kit in it. I think you did fine work there. I like the leather buttons too.
