Snow and cold has never stopped these good old boys and gals from heading out into the winter woods of Montana for campfire grub and some wet firesticks. History, knowledge shared, laughs, coffee, stew, and plenty of targets to hit or miss - these are the friendly members of the FVML.

I noticed this near the very beginning of the video. A rifle with no trigger guard? I found it interesting and though perhaps you fellows with a good historical background would\could comment on rifle builds such as this?

I noticed that gun as well. I think his gun was “in the white” stage of building and he was out with it for function testing before putting a trigger guard and the final finish on it.

I thought that was well, but there is no trigger guard inletting done. Of course.....that could be "in the white" as you stated.

Regarding the Fusil you see, yes it is in the white and he was out function testing. Beautiful workmanship for sure. The lovely woman is none other than my wife, making me the luckiest man on earth.

I thought it looked like a trade gun. Maybe a NW gun or earlier type G. There may not be any inletting required for the trigger guard. I ought to watch again

Always enjoy the videos. Wish we had shoots like that here in Tennessee. We have a monthly match but all we do is shoot paper. Y'all's matches look like real fun.

That was an awesome video ! I loved seeing all the bags and accessories and standing around the fire looked very inviting ! I did rendezvous's for some time, but just have gotten too old for it anymore and the old bod just keeps complaining about the work involved. You seem to have a great group of shooters and as usual with something like this...I'll bet a bunch of really nice people...
