Spy Glass
« on: February 10, 2020, 10:53:18 PM »
A friend of mine (That I call Mr. Haney) brought this by, and after dickering with him for a bit I purchased it. I completely disassembled it and could find no markings at all. It seems strange, at least to me, that a well made instrument like this would not have a makers mark. It does have cracked lens but is still pretty clear when viewing. Its really light, it weighs under 9 oz. I assume it was once covered with a thin piece of leather. Any one have any idea where I could get a new lens made? How could I date this one? Thanks, Ed

The right one will do it, I had one done back in Petersburg Va. years ago. Neat glass by the way, I'da had trouble letting that one get away myself.
