I have 2 hairline cracks in my stock. One is about 6long running horizontally - mostly on the cheek piece - and one is about 3 long running horizontally on the rear most part of the wrist. They overlap for about 1.5 with about .5 between them. No idea on how deep they are. The stock is stained but not yet sealed or finished.
Trying to decide whether to 1) repair the cracks at this point (before sealing and finishing) or 2) wait to see if they widen or deepen after sealing and then repair. Option 3 is to do nothing and hope they do not get bigger (my guess is that this is unlikely)
Any comments/suggestions based on experience are welcome.
