Any one recognize these initials? Or recognize the lock manuf?
I do. It's a William Morgan Hawken lock.I have used that plate and hammer on a lot of them
and the plate usually has J&S HAWKEN on them with engraving cast in. The hammer also had
some cast in engraving.This is the first time (I think) I'ver ever seen one complete but I also
know they were offered as a kit. I think Mr.Morgan lived in Texas.I used to get these plates and
hammers from Jerrry Devaudreuil in Wooster Ohio but it appears he is in an adult dementia of some
kind and I can't keep a conversation going with him. I called this week and he had a TV so loud NOBODY
could talk to him.
