Before Pic Of A Horn
« on: March 05, 2020, 11:08:07 PM »
After looking at Robby's horn I'm not sure I want to post this one. It is a work in progress and is headed for the paint department. Two part tip, Walnut butt, the horn fits inside it.

You’ve done the architecture part justice. Is Carla going to paint this one?  Two super talented people in one house just isn’t fair.  🙂

Again, it's a joy to see such a work in progress and I'd be proud to carry it as is! Walnut is one of my favorite types of wood and I wish I could turn things on a wood lathe again.
No matter what you think of it, your skills far exceed mine as well as a lot of us probably. Keep up the good work and thank you for sharing.

Tim, that is a great looking horn.  It's almost a shame to cover it up with paint.  Love the walnut you used.

Yea I wish I had a bigger piece of that. I've got a painted horn promised so it was made with that in mind, the butt won't get any paint. If it wasn't getting painted thought it would get some color. For my own work style I feel like it is a waste of the time it takes to leave one in the "O'natural".
