Primer, pick and brush

Not nearly as fancy as the fine flat priming horn I posted a few days ago. When I was at the big muzzleloaders fair this weekend I couldn't pass up this nicely made but kind of primitive horn, brush and pick set. Wood base and top, antler body, turned horn neck and wood plug. The brush is antler tip (that I will stain to match the primer with horse hair bristles and a vent pick made into the stopper.

Is the primer elk antler? I like the texture of the primer, looks really good.

I doubt I have the skill to emulate it but I like the notion of the primer and pick being together... No fiddling around for both items... Just pull it out of your bag, pick, prime, back in the bag... Done.

Yes it was made with elk horn. That's the problem. First step in making it: go out and shoot a bull elk.
