GR Douglas .54 questions

Anyone know details on this rifle? A friend just got it and wants to sell. Says the barrel has GR Douglas on it. .54 cal with shooting sticks.

Looks like a light bench or crossed sticks rifle.  Not sure what they call the class, but it is shot sitting.

I agree with EC121. I see from your profile you are from Indiana. With that said the rifle looks exactly like what you'd see on the cross stick/ bench line at the NMLRA matches at Friendship, IN. If I'm seeing right, there's even some wind flags in the box. A few more pics of the sights, ignition system, etc. may help confirm. The "GR Douglas" is the barrel manufacturer. They are still in business but no longer make muzzleloading barrels.

Douglas barrels are good but early ones can have run out.

That is a precision paper punching machine.  It looks like it has Redfield sights.
