Another Big Bore
« on: March 18, 2020, 10:28:18 PM »
Yeah, I like Big Bores,,, Here is one I would like to find some info on. Marked on on the Lock J or I Jackson and CRANBROOK on the barrel. Typical English proofs but to broad to narrow down a build date. All I can find is that Cranbrook is a suburb south of London. Its a 4 bore ;D

Longknife,
Very nice blunderbuss and well marked
The book "English Gunmakers" (Bailey & Nie) lists John Jackson, Cranbrook, Kent. 1792; 1823-1826.
