reading/bonewitz rifles

anyone have stock deminsions for one of these rifles? what i need is the height from the top of the buttplate comb to the toe plate. a friend of mine aquired a project rifle and it came with a set of steel hardware for one of these, according to the TOW catalog. the stock is already cut for a buttplate and he was wondering if he had enough wood left to use this plate or if he needed to get a plate with a taller comb.

Shumway measures an atributed  piece at  4"  29/32nds Pg 388 in RCA II.  I had the privilege to hold four different Bonawitz rifles as well as Reedy and each one varied slightly so I wouldnt get too wound up about hitting an exact number. Just a shave under 5" should do it.
