These Whitson rifles certainly have a style to them, and are very good looking guns!

These rifles are beautiful examples of functional art,Tools made to put meat in the skillet and if need be,repel a hostile intruder.The total simplicity of such a rifle made with a very few tools.There was man in Kenova,WV that made one with a barrel,a lock and trigger and maybe 3 chisels and a Case folding hunting knife and the knife was used as a scraper.His name was Glen Napier and he encouraged me when I got interested in 1051.

Michael, is this the rifle that Jim Kibler referenced for his SMR? I love those simple, elegant rifles. They've no need for adornment.   Dan

He posted on here that he was going to model it after a Whitson rifle, showed a picture of a nice Whitson, and even posted a pic of Ol Ebay as well!
