Composite Algonquin pained gun
« on: April 05, 2020, 12:24:54 AM »
This is a gun I’ve planned for a while. 62 cal rice custom barrel   Chambers va lock   Trigger guard was an original purchase from member Rich Pierce   Side plat from an original Brown Bess   Went to museum looking at woodland Indian designs   Worked  with Jeanne Mcdonald on sling, she did amazing and beautiful job  I know this is a different direction, but like to think “what if”.

An artistic use for inletting black! Looks like something a Woodland Indian might have carried with pride!

John, That is a downright really cool gun.  I really like the entry pipe treatment.  Great work imagining and researching something that might have been then creating and executing this piece.

Love it, very creative, everything, including the strap fits in just right. Good thinking and well done.

I like that one a lot. It reminds me a bit of some of Clay Smith’s  trade guns.

Exquisite, sir! Expert Horner and Moderator Tim Crosby recently created a painted horn and such would look incredible paired with this rifle!
