Engraving fun
« on: April 10, 2020, 04:54:48 PM »
A friend of mine, Walt, asked me to spiff up his TC with a little engraving on the capbox....he uses it for deer hunting and this is what I came up with

This was a fun project as I was totally on my own to decide the approach and execution. It was an easy job cutting it in, but the hardest part was the design, some of which I used from some original capbox engravings as inspiration. I think he'll like it.

I like that very much, has a folksy feel.

I have a T/C Hawken, it was the first gun I "built" about 27 years ago.  You have inspired me to do something similar.  Don't care if I screw it up, I'll likely never shoot it again now that I can shoot my handbuilt flintlocks!  (not a criticism, by the way).

Cheers,
Norm
