Hello,

I started making a John Armstrong rifle on scale.
First I changed a countersink into a cutter.
I tried it before I started and it worked.

Normal it costs me a day to get the barrel in, now I did it in 1 hour.

Here some brasswork.

The buttplate has an iron tip.

Normal I used a lengthened steeldrill for the ramrodhole, but now I tried a better one, made off a wooddrill.
That was wrong!

I started making a John Armstrong rifle on scale.

No, I used brassplate, drilled the buttplate and triggercard out and then viling, viling, viling!

I love it already, my favorite maker. I don't like filing off casting gates, can't imagine that much filing.

Yes I made the lock myself, but I made two the same locks.
One for myself and one I have given to David Price.

Thanks for the reply. I actually saw the posting of David’s lock and commented on it the other day, but I didn’t make the connection with you. I’ve said before, I am always especially impressed with miniatures.

Those triggers are really neat.I might try a set this small but
