Cigar Cases
« on: May 24, 2020, 03:42:19 PM »
 Something different, not sure they can be called an "Accouterment" but they have been around for a long time;
 "The first US tobacco that was of a quality high enough for cigars was originally grown in Windsor, Connecticut, around 1640. For nearly three centuries, pipe and cigar tobacco soared in popularity in Europe."
 Anyway, these are about 7" long and 4 wide, each hold 3. The lace is Kangaroo leftover form my braiding days.

Cool.  Use for eyeglasses too.  Really anything like jags, worms, turnscrews, etc.  I like it.

Very nice Tim. Lovely rich color with complimentary long diamonds. I could see my sticks living in there for a shot while. :)

Pretty cool, Tim. I’ll just add that to my project list, I reckon. I figure a feller’s just gotta have one!

WOW Tim, you're sure a multi talented kinda guy. Those are very nice and for those of us who are not smokers we could put our reading glasses in one of those. I like both styles, nice job on the leather work. We are impressed......  ;D

Holy "smokes" Tim! Beautiful work!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong as I am a pipe guy and not a cigar guy... But I believe Connecticut is still where shade grown tobacco for wrapping cigars is grown.

Very nice Tim!  Love the tooling design and I see a use for smaller tools like jags or even a sharpening stone.  Great idea.

Very nice. I live pretty close to Windsor. Connecticut Shade leaf tobacco is still the top wrapper for quality cigars. But, with overall smoking numbers down, unfortunately many of the old tobacco barns are being pulled down, and a lot of the field workers are out of work.

Very nice- those designs could lend themselves to any number of applications.

 Thanks to all. I used to make quite a few of these years ago or so when I gave CAS a try. I'll be its been at least 20 years since I made one.

 Yes, this was split out from a piece that was about 1/4", one a little thicker than the other.  The 1/4" piece was cut from a hide.
