Leman Tang Shape?

I am ready to cut out my tang.  My gun will be a late 1/2 stock percussion rifle.

I can find few references, The first a long flintlock fowler it says  2.24" by 0.475" and shows a rectangular tang. This gun is a full stock flowler.  The other is full stock, it shows a long Tennessee type

The TRACK tang for the trade rifle is small and rounded

95% of documentation photos of an old gun forget to show the tang.  Frustrating.

Anyone know what is most appropriate?

Leman trade rifles "generally" have short rounded tangs, but once in a while you will see a square one.  I don't have a copy in front of me but Track put out a book, which I believe is called "For Trade and Treaty" that has many trade rifles by Leman and other's in it.

For now I left it square.  I'll have to think about it for a while or see a picture of one I like. 

I wanted a hooked breech.  That being inappropriate for a Leman, I made one that looks at first glance to be the shape of a regular breech plug.  It is a chambered breech plug so I can locate the drum more toward the rear. 

I have taps and dies coming today.  I will make the new lock plate to match a Leman.  I already made a much nicer tumbler than the one that came with the lock.
