I was just curious if you used actual thread or the hemp twine. I've used it before myself... Even when waxed it's "hairy" and has some slubs but it works fine.Several vendors online also sell a nice polished hemp cord for very reasonable prices... it's very evenly wound and smooth. And you can get it in about any color imaginable. I bought some for weaving but it would work just as well for sewing... Just wax it up and sew.Mike
