Shot this just now,. .36 cal hand cast .350 ball .018 spit patch and 20 grains of 3F.   And just because it's neat..... a pic of the giant poplar beside my backstop.

Well, I shot 2 targets today.  And I realized holding a 51 inch Getz swamped barrel acts like a sail in heavy wind.  I shot an 8, and a minus 10.  So tomorrow is a woodswalk.  I will post a couple targets up in between rounds and try again.  This is fun.

Martin 9:  I score your target @ 10 as follows:  20 - 10 = 10.  Those body shots are killers, eh?

That's what I found out on every one of mine. Body shots hurt the shooter.

My 2nd target, shot yesterday. First 3 shots went as planned; head then bark. Last two wouldn't cooperate. ??? Still fun stuff and gained at least 1 point.

Try to put 5 in the bark. You'll win.

Yeah, I tried that on one target. With these eyeballs of mine, it didn't work.

Yep, I knew that one got away from me, surprised it was that far off. Printed a couple more so will try again this evening. Lightened the trigger on my 36 this morning so am hopeful that'll help a bit.

My second target. 45 caliber 30 grains of 2F .015 prelubed patch and .440 ball. My last bit of printer ink so I'll only submit 2 targets for this shoot.

I finally got out the range today. It's been a busy month.  Shooting my .45 Tennessee rifle with 40 gr fffg, .440 round ball and .018 lubes patches.   I would like to draw attention to my very first shot of the day, right through the pupil. I wanted to stop shooting right then knowing I couldn't top it.  I'm not sure about my score on my #1 target if it is a 30 or 35. It's Taylor's call  it's pretty close.  On my #3 target the squirrel ducked just as I fired... ;)

Excellent shooting Martin and Justin.  I score Martin's target a 16 with that third 8 so close...but out.

Justin:  really commendable shooting my friend.  Scores 35, 32, and 25.

I've decided for a tie breaker to take your second best target - higher score breaks the tie.  There are a lot of very close scores in this match.  A great effort by everyone.

Holy Cow! That's good shooting, Justin. I'd hate to be a squirrel around your neck of the woods!

I took 3 targets to the range. Checked my sights with the ole flint 36 cal on a bullseye target. Dry balled on the 5th shot. Fun over........IT Happens/happened 😞

I dryballed once today myself with my .45. I thankfully realized it before I rammed it to the plug so was able to work some powder in the touchhole and shot it out no problem. I do drill my touchholes a little larger than commonly accepted though.

Yes, good shooting Justin. That's as close as you can get to 5 in the bark.

Thanks guys. For that one above the bark I was holding it too long and fired when I should've put the rifle down. The one above the squirrel's head I think I was holding the front sight a bit too high in relation to the rear.

Tks for putting this shoot on, Taylor. Since there are few to zero rendezvous on this year, it will be interesting to see how long we "can keep it up."

Great shoot Taylor and all gents. I tried again the last three days and couldn't get it to come together. My second posted target is either a 21 or shaky 29.

I have encouraged my brother to post his two targets from the last two days, not sure if he will. In our outfit, he is the Taylor and I the Daryl. Older but better eyes nowadays. Better targets too. :-[

Congrats to to all the winners! Some fine shooting done this month!
