Need flint's for fowler.
« on: June 09, 2020, 02:32:25 AM »
Hello folks. I need some good quality flints for my .58 cal/24 ga.  Fowler. The lock is a Davis Round face lock.  Need about a dozen good flints. Any suggestions?

These folks were recommended to me, haven't got the flints yet but they are supposed to be good quality.

I bought about 300 from Stonewall Creek last year.  No idea why.  Maybe it was the rumors.  Just seemed like a good idea at the time.  They were as good as anyone's and a bit cheaper.  I paid about $1.89ea. including shipping.

Last time I bought flints they were .60 each. I thought that was a little high.

It's only money.  The Federal Reserve prints it every day.
I didn't want to run out.  A big pile of flints gives me that warm fuzzy feeling.  Kind of like a closet full of toilet paper.    Because I can't verify them, I won't repeat them.  However, if the rumors come true, I can always sell the flints for $3 ea.

You have the flints covered. Now, about the powder and lead?
