Where to Buy Tow
« on: June 15, 2020, 11:07:48 PM »
Hello,
I have never used tow to clean any of my muzzleloaders before, but would like to give it a try. I tried ordering some from a place called The Woolery, but received a message that they currently have a backorder of 3-5 weeks. Does anybody else know of an alternate supplier where it can be bought

Thanks.

Jay

You'll need to look around for it on their website but they should have it.

Here, but he'll bang you for shipping. It still comes out a couple of dollars cheaper than the Woolery. I just bought a pound to check it out.

True, but I won't need to buy it again for a while. A lot of times I wash the dirty tow and it lasts even longer.  :)

Never throw it out, the oily stays oily, the dirty gets washed, that beyond re-washing gets used over smoothie charges.

Never throw it out, shoot it out.  ;D

Or light fires.  That stuff is good for everything.

Bought all of mine off ebay. A pound is a lot for sure.

Here in France I bought a hank in a builders supplier as a plumbers supply item 6 years ago. Not run out yet as I re use it. Look in plumbers supplies.

Get three pounds. Or sow some flax seeds.

No Pete, I'm just a consumer and provided the link and email address. I bought back in March, fair enough price but slow. Happy with my ½# for $14 bucks.
