Trio of Knives

Most if you guys seen these on Facebook, but for those who do not participate in social media, I'll share my latest round of knives.

The large knife was one that came to mind from an old knife that my grandfather used when it came to hog killing and processing. He would also use it when. Asked to help process deer etc. I forged this blade from 1084 bar stock. It long and slender with a 9 1/4 inch blade. Overall length is 14 inches. The end was fashioned into a ball starter.

These two smaller knives are also forged from 1084. The smallest was made for as a neck knife and the other a bag knife for patch cutting.

Your attention to detail is obvious, such as fit, finish, color of handles etc.

Normally I'm not a knife guy as I have plenty, but these look wonderful.  Geeeesssh, more eye candy to drool over.

Those are some dandy knives, JC!  My grandfather liked a long, thin, boning knife for hogs, too. I’m glad you posted them here, I’m taking a break from all the negativity on Facebook...

Looking very nice, well done ! Keeping that poured pewter nice & tight  8) is always good to see. (much harder to accomplish in reality)
