trigger guard
« on: June 29, 2020, 02:38:32 PM »
I'm looking for a trigger guard for a build I'm doing. I'm not up on all the schools and makers styles. I want a trigger guard that the grip rail is very close to the wrist. I have a JP Beck which is close to what I'm looking for but not exactly what I'm after. I've looked on most of the muzzle loader supply sites and the early Virginia looks closer to what I'm after but no one seems to have this one in stock. If anyone has suggestions on the style I'm looking for or where I can find one I'd appreciate it. Attached is a photo of one of the guards I like.

Say, any of you boys smithies? Or, if not smithies per se, were you otherwise trained in the metallurgic arts before straitened circumstances forced you into a life of aimless wanderin'?

That looks like the Sheetz guard from MBS.

Thanks, yes that picture is of a Sheetz guard from MBS. They show out of stock as does every other place that has something similar. Also the bow on this trigger guard may be larger than I want. I found an Armstrong which might work.
