I never really liked the Nessmuk knife until I saw a couple made by Josh Wrightsman that knocked my socks off.  So I researched the history of the Nessmuk.  Very interesting, George Washington Sears AKA Nessmuk 1821-1890 was a man of the wilderness...designed the knife and carried a small Cal black powder rifle.  He was like Thoreau on steroids...Look him up. Anyway I decided to forge one up for myself.

Thanks for all the kind comments. As a note GW Sears AKA Nessmuk wrote a book "Woodcraft and Camping" in 1881 that is still in print from Amazon for $9.  I think you can get it free as an E-book. He was like Henry David Thoreau.
