18-24 month wait is really short. Especially for a "Master builder".

Say, any of you boys smithies? Or, if not smithies per se, were you otherwise trained in the metallurgic arts before straitened circumstances forced you into a life of aimless wanderin'?

If only men like you were still taking orders.

I’ve seen the toils of your labor, and they are a triumph.

How I wish for a Brooks trade gun, or Bess...  :'(

I had 36 guns on my list at one time. It's great to have that much work but it's quite overwhelming to have that kind of back log. I think there are another 12-15 on the list  I'm trying to get through, I'm glad those on the list have been patient, I don't work as much as I used to.

There comes a time when too much is enough and burn out occurs. That happened to me last
last year when I finished the last flint lock.

I got to know Keith and worked with him on the Thomas Simpson rifle project that we did for the Masonic Mountain Men of Mississippi. Keith is a super guy, a great hunter and rifle builder and engraver. He is still working and doing quite well for being in his 80's. I got to attend a show of his work a few years ago and I was very honored to have co-built a rifle with him and have it displayed with his work.

Keith is a true master of engraving and wood working. His rifles are works of art of the highest degree. If you haven't seen his book "Full Circle", you owe it to yourself to find a copy and see some of the many rifles built by Keith.
