Muzzleloader Magazine cased pelt bag article
« on: July 07, 2020, 02:42:41 AM »
I am going to try my hand at making a possibles bag from a cased pelt.  I recall a how-to article in Muzzleloader Magazine a while back I think using a groundhog.  Does anyone recall the issue?  Also, any other tips on how to do this would be appreciated.

Ask T.C. Albert - I think he wrote the article in question. I think it was 2015 or 2015, as I recall buying a magazine off the rack at the local Field and Stream, and I think only did that those years. I'd look it up for you, since I still have it, but it is that it is now in storage with 500+ books and magazines in unmarked boxes, and thus largely in accessible.

Try the Sept/Oct 2016 Issue . I believe that is the
Issue. It should still be available from
Jason at Muzzleloader as a back issue for
5 or 6 bucks. As I recall I did an alum tan in a crockery
Type butter churn for that one. Hardest think was finding
The groundhog hide. Moscow Hide and Fur helped me out
There.
