HELP!
« on: August 15, 2009, 02:33:49 AM »
Gentlemen, I will be making my television debut on the "Outdoor Channel, Shooting USA, Impossible Shots." this coming Wednesday 7:00 PM Eastern. I will be shooting my trusty flintlock.

I hope if you watch, you like what you see. If you enjoy the program, please email the show and let them know, jim@shootingusa.com. Hopefully we can get more blackpowder stuff on TV.

Thanks in advance for your support.

I wish I had the Outdoor Channel, I'd certainly watch.  I wonder if the segment will be on You-Tube?

Hi C, Cool. I would watch, but I'm in Afganistan 'til mid oct. Perhaps I can see a rerun. Perhaps I can get someone to record it for me.

I watched your segment. Good Job; we need more air time for flintlocks such as that.  BTW, for those who missed it, the rifle was made by one of our own -- Charlie Wallingsford.

Just finished watching the show. You did a great job. It would be great if we could get more segments filmed and shown. I will send The Outdoor Channel an email. Dannylj

Watched the show last night, very impressive shooting! Hope to see more of your shooting, finally had about 15 minutes of TV worth watching! I will email the show requesting more of your "Impossible Shots" (I know I can't shoot that well).

Centershot, great shooting. Wish I would have taped it. Sent an email off to the show first thing this morning requesting that they do more segments showing black powder shooting using the flintlock style of firearms. Sure hope they listen. Maybe if we flood them with requests it'll happen. ;D

George,

I loved the show. You make a great ambassador for muzzleloading. I'll send a message to the Outdoor Channel.     Lon

Some of us don't get the Outdoor channel and have no idea what y'all are talking about.

So, what masterful feat of marksmanship did Centershot perform?

God bless

I caught it late, on the rerun, as I shoot bowling pins, and muzzleloader on Wednesday nights.  A little smaltsie, but still Rock locks, and real M/L's.  I'll be sending an email.  What's next splitting the ball on an axe, or snuffing out a candle.  How about the egg on a string, you miss you eat it, or maybe the host. ;D ;D

Thanks Lon, I will be on again on Wednesday at 7:00 P.M.

We recorded a total of six shots. I guess the way it works is, the more response from viewers, the better the chance that it continues.

I appreciate your writing in.

Thanks,

Loved it! I never see any muzzleloaders on TV other than in-lines, what a breath of fresh air!

If you didn't see it, he used his 58 caliber flintlock rifle (thumper) and first he shot a piece of charcoal tied to a string. Next he shot a string in two that was holding another piece of charcoal. Lastly had a piece of vertical string on a frame and a good ways behind it had charcoal hanging from a string; he lined up and shot through the first string and then hit the charcoal behind it with the same shot. It was cool!

I will email the show expressing my support.

Thanks for the entertaining shooting, I liked seeing the ol' girl doing her business.

That's good shooting. I would  have liked to have see it, but we don't get the Outdoor channel. The outdoor shows available to me only know about inlines, for ML hunting and shooting.

I did see a coupla ML guns on a recent episode of Lock and Load. The shooters were actually able to hit what they were shooting at. It is refreshing to see ML guns, on these TV shows, handled by people who know how to use them.

God bless

I watched the second installment of "Impossible Shots" this week. Another good showing for George Sutton.  ;D All of us muzzleloaders should email Jim Scoutten and tell him to keep bringing the guy with the flintlock back.    Lon
