Jerry Raisor, curator at Fort Boonesborough State Park in central Kentucky.

Just before the drawing, it was announced that along with the rifle, the winner would receive a sealed envelope containing an offer to purchase the rifle.  Wonder what he will do?

Guess I can throw away my ticket stubs along with my plans for the sealed envelope!

Jerry, that was your day!  Regardless of what was in that envelope, I would submit that the House rifle is a better investment than any paper generated by Wall Street or the commodities exchange, unless you are very, very lucky.

No way I'd sell it--unless my wife found out what it was worth.  ::)

I would have sold it so fast I would have broken their arm getting the money out of their hand. Although, part of it would have gone to buy a top notch rifle from any of several well known builders that I could actually shoot without being paranoid. As far as my wife would know, I won some money AND a rifle. ;D
