Powder Horn by Master Horner Lee Larkin

I bought this expertly-made carved horn from Master Horner Lee Larkin.  It commemorates the Battle of Boston.  The inscription on the face of the horn reads:

Grait Liberty inspire our soles
And Magnify Our Zeal. 
Grait God of Wors protect Our Cause
And We'll Submit Unto Thy Will
1775

 Lee is to say the least a true artist and that horn shows it.

Here's the "Benjamin Chapman" horn made by Lee Larkin.  It commemorates my 5-time great grandfather who was a patriot during the Revolutionary War.  He enlisted at Fort Ticonderoga, helped defeat General Burgoyne at the Battle of Saratoga, and spent the winter of 1777 with George Washington at Valley Forge. Thanks for posting those...I enjoyed the view. Fine work for sure. I love the look of the horns that have been worked on on both ends like the 1st one ,...but man those horns are hard to find.

Nice looking horns from Lee. Is he still making horn? Haven't seen him for several years anywhere and thought maybe he got out of the horn making.

Here's another horn carved by Mr. Larkin.  It was done in the French & Indian War style, and references Fort Edward, a major British outpost in Upstate NY in 1756.  Unfortunately, I do not own this horn.  I wish I did!
