Latest Bag
« on: July 28, 2020, 06:37:20 AM »
This generously sized double bag was made with the intent of being void of any "billboard" flashy features while being plentiful in subtle and refined elements invoking an air of old-world influence. Lined and bound flap, rolled welts, bound entry and a handmade iron buckle based on two original examples.

That’s beautiful James.  It looks like a nice roomy rifle or fowling piece setup.

Great bag, doubles have always been one of my favorites. Fine work on that buckle. Neat little touch on the side.

Beautiful.  Looks like a saddle bag type double bag like I already have.  Except mine has a buckle closure.  Ive had it for years.  I wonder if u made it.  Ill have to look for a touchmark.

This is a beautiful double bag James.  Love the buckle and your 'little' details that make this one a favorite to admire.
James, is the back and flap all one piece by chance?Gary

Elegance indeed.  It reminds me of a dark green Bentley.  Classic and understated, but clearly above the rest of the field.

As others mentioned, the details take it to another level.  I love those shells that cover the transition areas.  The finish looks super as usual.

As muted as it is in French grey, that buckle may be one of my favorites you've done.  Like a fine iron mounted rifle.

For you newcomers to muzzleloading, take a very close look at James' pictures.  This is fine work.

God Bless,   Marc

I wish I had a nice enough gun to go with that bag. Exquisite as always. I love the clamshells as well. Nice touch.

Thank you all. I can see this morning that I must have had the brightness on my phone turned up to the hilt when I was posting these pictures last night. All a bit too dark.
Gary, the flap is not part of the back.

Probably just as well for now.  I can’t really justify another bag at the moment, but a very nice temptation.
