Vallorbe Rasps

Does anyone out there use Vallorbe rasps? I found a handful of them at Woodcraft on sale and couldn’t resist. I’m a rasp guy and can’t pass up a sale. I got 2 flat, 2 cabinet and one rat tail rasp. Didn’t have the time to test drive them when I got home.

I have one, picked it up at the CLA show years ago, it's a good rasp. Can't remember the size of it.

I recently found a used Vallorbe "Spirit" rasp at flea market.  I had never heard of them before but for a few bucks I brought it home.    Turns out this particular one is a farrier's rasp with the second side being a finer cut for finishing.

I cleaned out the clogged teeth and now the rasp side rips right through hardwood.
